Final Marina-NanoValid Conference, Paris 2015

NanoValid and Marina have been officially finalized by a big dissemination event on the 29-30 September 2015 at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris.

Both projects started on the 1 November 2011 as the first European "flagship" initiatives on nanosafety and will end on the 31 October 2015 as planned.

This unique and outstanding event successfully demonstrated how both projects have paved the way during the last 4 years towards a better understanding of the true nature of engineered nanomaterials. A tremendous amount of new exciting results was presented and discussed by leading European and international experts with relevant stakeholders coming from the European Commission, other policy makers, relevant industries and the scientific community.

The overwhelming data produced on hazard and exposure will shed new light on processes and factors that have to be taken into account when assessing and managing the risk associated with handling, use and occurrence of materials at the nano-scale in various complex man-made and natural systems.
